Community Outreach

Shekinah Glory Worship Center plays a vital role in our Community. We are active in supporting local agencies with our time, talent, treasure and prayers. We encourage all Shekinites to respond to God’s call for laborers, to minister in our or tri-city Community. 

Music & Dance Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church disciples get involved in our music and dance ministry. Some play instruments. Some are vocalists. Others praise dance or act in drama skits. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of SGWC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. 

Ushers/Greeters

The Usher/Greeter team at SGWC fills an important role. They are the front line of hospitality shown to every visitor that comes through the doors. The Usher/Greeter team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life. 

Media & Technology

In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. Our weekly service and sermons are recorded. We also maintain an active Facebook feed for additional church communication via Facebook Live. 

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Bishop & Elder Mitchell serve families within the congregation and outside the ministry  as Counselors and Life Coaches. Their role in listening, understanding,  and encouraging couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found renewed hope and joy in  fulfilling relationship with their spouse. 

Intercessory Prayer  Team

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. SGWC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Corporate prayer is held every Monday at 6:00pm. The Prayer-line is open each Thursday at 5am & 8pm. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor and family, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.  

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, SGWC holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.
